Breed-specific legislation only serves to penalize responsible owners of innocent dogs (who happen to be one the ever-growing list of breeds currently under fire. At the same time, it does nothing
to protect the public from the truly dangerous dogs (of any breed), and does nothing to effect the actions of irresponsible dog owners. A number of breeds of dog are currently under attack throughout much of the United States and
other parts of the world. These include the:
