Using the Motorola BitSurfr Pro at 230K

The external BitSurfr Pro can transfer data at rates up to 230Kbps to your PC. But remember, it can only transfer up to 128K to your ISP or REMOTE HOST.

Standard PC serial ports now utilize a 16550 UART which can only transfer data up to 115K. With a high speed serial card, you can speed up your PC to transfer data to the BitSurfr Pro at its maximum of 230Kbps.

At 230Kbps, peak throughput is about 16.1K/sec.

At 115Kbps, peak throughput is about 11.2K/sec.
