Configuring Eudora Pro to Filter Email

Eudora Pro has a myriad of configuration options which will enable you to filter email in almost any way imaginable. Not only can it segregate various emails by the from line, to line, containing specific text, etc., and either archive to specific folders or delete them, you can configure Eudora Pro to actually delete them from the server, saving you from downloading them in the first place.

Below, you will find a tutorial on setting up a basic filtering scheme designed to keep out mail from a particular sender.

Make sure that you are in the Filters tab. Click on the Tools Menu. Click on Filters. You should see a screen similar to this one:

Once you have entered the desired information into all the fields, click the Action pull-down menu. You can now decide what to do with the designated mail. You can direct it to a special folder for later sorting. You can also simply delete it by clicking on Server Options.

When you've finished, if you've selected the option to delete messages from server in the check box next to server options, your screen will look like this.
