Additional configuration for 914, 516, and 201 area codes:

1. Enter the appropriate number into the "Telephone Number" field.
2. Click "Next".
3. Click "Finish"
4. An icon will be created in you "Dial-Up Networking" directory, open the directory and with the right button of your mouse, click on the Internet Channel Icon you just created and select "Properties" from the menu.
5. Click on the "Configure" button below where your modem is listed.
6. Click on the "Options" tab and check the box next to "Bring up terminal window after dialing."

To connect to INCH, just click on the icon for INCH in the Dial-Up Networking folder. You will be prompted for your username and password; click on the Connect button.

After the modems have connected, you will see a window appear with the words which service please?. Type ppp in lowercase and press return. You will be prompted to enter your username and password next. After entering your password, you will see the message Switching to PPP followed by a lot of screen garbage. Press the continue button on the window, and you will be logged in. At this point you are connected to INCH. Congratulations!
