This was conceived as a cover for a video of a live performance by the Japanese noise trio Fushitsusha. The show took place at The Knitting Factory in New York City and was videotaped. To reflect the raw and vigorous quality of the music, we photographed a frame from the video directly off a television screen and scanned it in. We decided to combine this with somewhat elegant typography as the music still seemed to have a more traditional Japanese quality of minimalism beneath the density of the noise.
