I am currently desigining a major Web site of 45 pages for the New Bedford Whaling Museum in New Bedford, Mass. (The beta version is at: www.inch.com/~penney/museum)

My responsibilities include:

CONSULTATION-I visited the museum and talked with the director and the curators to establish a direction and focus for the Web site.

ART DIRECTION-I art directed the site and created the museum logo and all the other graphic elements.

TEXT-I researched and wrote the text for the site's "Story of Whaling" section.

IMAGES-I selected and manipulated the images that were taken primarily from the museum collection. Each was scanned, sharpened, color corrected, sized and compressed using Photoshop.

PAGE LAYOUT-The pages were laid out in HTML with extensive use of tables.

SERVER-I negotiated with the Internet Service Provider to register the domain name and to receive a favorable rate for the museum.
